During our recent family vacation to the Parkhotel Matrei in Tyrol, we were pleasantly surprised by the engaging atmosphere. Located conveniently near the Brenner Pass, the hotel provided easy access to both nature and modern amenities-perfect for families seeking adventure. We enjoyed a picturesque guided ski tour on Friday for €60 each, expertly led by Florian Obojes, a passionate ski mountaineer. His enthusiasm made the experience memorable for us and our kids alike. After a day of skiing, we appreciated the tranquility of the sauna, an unexpected retreat considering the hotel's size. The spacious rooms featured comfortable bedding, and our little ones loved the nearby ice skating options in Steinach. While the restaurant had a smaller menu, the food quality was commendable and suited our family's palate. Parkhotel Matrei proved to be a great base for creating cherished family memories. It's a wonderful choice for those looking to blend relaxation and adventure amidst the stunning Tyrolean landscape.
